Jinghan Yang

I am a final year PhD in computer science and computer engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, where I am advised by Yevgeniy Vorobeychik. My research interests fall broadly within the fields of adversarial machine learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.

My work has focused on discussing the vulnerabilities of deep learning models in the context of computer vision and autonomous driving, as well as developing robust image recognition models and autonomous driving systems which are robust to both adversarial perturbations (e.g., malicious graffiti painted on road signs) as well as natural changes in the driving environment (e.g., weather, construction, or accidents).

Research

I'm interested in computer vision, machine learning, optimization, and image processing. Much of my research is about inferring the physical world (shape, motion, color, light, etc) from images.

Misc

I am very interested in interior design and art. In my spare time, I like developing AI models for generating art and designing houses.

Besides AI and art, I enjoy hanging out with my two cats, Mein Mein (面面) and Bao Zi (包子).
